These are our interview questions for Ava Manello and KT Fisher -
Where did your idea come from when writing severe angel the whole MC club?
Honestly, I have no idea. It had been brewing in my mind for a while then when I told Author K T Fisher the plot that I'd been working on, it all just clicked.
Do you know someone who's part of an MC club?
AVA: No, I wish I did. This has all been written from a very overactive imagination. I've only been on the back of a motorbike a couple of times, and that was so long ago it's buried in a very distant memory.
K.T: God I really wish I did! How freaking amazing would that be? I think if I did I would pathetic and follow them everywhere though so probably a good thing.
Have you based any of it's characters on someone you know?
AVA: The male characters are all figments of imagination sadly, wouldn't it be great to know people that looked as hot as they do? Some of the female characters though do have traits from people we both know. Diane, who likes to be watched, is based on a very good friend of ours in the US. She told us what she wanted us to include, so we did. It made for a couple of very hot chapters including her. Emma was a competition winner, she came up with the name for Justice. As she lives fairly close to me I spent quite a bit of time chatting with her to make her character was much like her as possible. Emma became a good friend to both of us during this process, so much so that we wanted to bring her character back. Elle is based on a very feisty Australian lady that we both adore. She's played a huge part in all the Severed MC books, and supported us from day one. It felt right to bring her in as one of the main characters.
K.T: Well like Ava has said, some of them came from friends we met, and just bought them into it. I think there's also some familiar traits and personalities in some characters that are also in me and Ava, but I won't say! Haha
Who's your favourite characters out of severe angel?
AVA: It's hard to choose, as a writer I've become attached to them all. For me it's not just the character you see, they have a whole history in my head. I not only see their past, but their future as well. In terms of characters to write I love Satan, although I was amazed to find some fans loved him as well. He was supposed to be so evil that no-one could possibly love him. I think deep down we all want to rescue a bad boy, and everyone hoped that somehow he'd magically come good. I love my hot guys, but I think I have a soft spot for Cowboy. He's always there, in the background, very much alone. I'm looking forward to giving him his own book soon.
K.T: I also had a weird soft spot for Satan, I felt for him in a weird and twisted way, but also because me and Ava he created him. Like all the characters an author makes, they sort of become your imaginary babies. I love every single one of my characters. I have a soft for Kid and Ice although they aren't main characters.
Who is your favourite Author?
AVA: I can't possibly pick one, and it would be unfair to list them as I'd be sure to miss one out and then feel guilty for it. I love everything from dark and dangerous to romance and all the shades in between. I probably have an affinity for Indie authors, especially those of an Australian persuasion, but really can say I love authors from around the world.
K.T: Wow that is a hard question! I don't think I could answer it. They're are so many published and indie authors out there, I could make a list but I will miss someone out. Seriously I love and admire a lot of authors.
